The redirection application must be signed by the person or persons to whom the postal
articles are addressed. The person presenting the redirection form should also present a copy
of the identity cards, back and front, of all the addressees listed on the form. In the case that
such person is not an addressee requesting redirection on such form, a copy of his/her identity
card, back and front, must also be presented. All copies are to be signed as a ‘true copy of original’
by the respective identity card holder/s or the applicant, who must also indicate the date of
signature.
An application for redirection of postal articles can also be signed by a person duly authorised
by another person in respect of postal articles addressed to such other person. Such application
shall only be accepted upon the completion of the relative section (Section 7) in the MaltaPost
standard Redirection of Postal Articles Form.
Married spouses who have changed their surname and are applying for the service of
redirection of postal articles and who wish to have postal articles addressed on both surnames
redirected, should complete the redirection form with both surnames (maiden and marriage surname). A copy of the marriage certificate should be presented, signed as a ‘true copy of
original’ by such spouse, indicating the date of signature.
